The Vision:
Dreams and needs…

The Conservatory Day Spa and Salon was founded in October, 1986, upon a dream and a need. The dream of finding meaning and the need to work. This dream and need became the collective vision of all of us, who believe most people want to make a positive difference in the world, their community, and at work. This 1986 dream is alive and stronger today, as it continues to inspire and motivate all of us at The Conservatory. We exist to meet the dreams and needs of guests and staff. We are clear of the higher purposes in what we do every day. It is an honor and a privilege to discover new and better ways to meet the individual needs of our guests and our staff by sincerely caring, listening, and learning from each other. In these ways business in a community does make a noticeable difference from the tangible differences we can see to the internal ways we feel.
The Mission:
Listen, Learn, Love…

Our guests need and want exceptional services. They want us to listen. Our staff need and want to provide exceptional services. They want to learn and give. The Conservatory needs and want s to create an experience, which meets the need and desires of our guest, staff, and community in an environment, which is authentic, loves life, and supports the well-being of each individual. This support includes serious education from dedicated, experienced teachers., realistic customer and team feedback, and good, old-fashioned human love and kindness. The Conservatory believes everything matters in the lives of our guests and staff, therefore we must listen better, be earners, and love more every day. We are on a mission to improve our lives one person and one day at a time.

Individuals are important at The Conservatory. We believe people come first and formost in our priorities, when making every decision. We believe it is possible to maintain an engaged connection between all of us, even as we change and grow. This belief challenges each of us to listen more carefully and to genuinely care. In these ways we become better persons and professionals, as we provide exceptional service. Giving and receiving is best, when it is joyful and comes from a willing heart. These attitudes complete the circle of exchange, which can be called business. This collective dream to The Conservatory has become a beautiful, physical reality in our facility, where each person is as important today, as ever.
The Formula:

From the beginning our dream has been to create a place for guests and staff to meet everyday, where receiving and giving services could be meaningful for all of us and our community. In 1986 most salons were selling haircuts and manicures. The Conservatory was ahead of its time and has evolved by creating a business based on what we call “win-win-win.” To remain in business and to thrive it was clear to us, that nothing less would do. The customer must be more, than simply satisfied. The staff must do more, than simply survive. The company must accomplish more, than merely exist. In the beginning there were two of us, who were clear, that salons and spas had more to do and more to give. We began by asking the question, “How can we improve every day to make a positive difference for guest, staff, and our business?” After decades of asking the same question over and over, the team of believers has grown to become a business family of guests and staff with the answers we discovered and implemented together for the good of us all. Imagine that!
The Result:
Sustainability…

Over the decades the original dream to create meaning at work and the need to work continues and has remained constant. The vision has expanded to include the hopes of many, who come together every day with needs and plans for their individual lives for today and tomorrow. Included in these hopes, dreams, needs and plans are future guests and staff, whom we look forward to welcoming in the days and years to come. We have the endurance and the enthusiasm to live our mission, stay true to our vision, and continue to improve the experience each day. when we enter The Conservatory. In these way we sustain a rare level of commitment from our guests and our staff to a bigger, better, brighter future for everyone at The Conservatory.
